- Register through the county tag office within 30 days of moving to Georgia.
- Tax and fees
- New residents generally face Georgia's one-time Title Ad Valorem Tax; confirm the current new-resident rate and vehicle value.
- Inspection or VIN
- A passing emissions inspection is required in covered counties and should be handled before registration.
- Insurance
- Bring proof of Georgia insurance for the vehicle.
