NewState Drive is operated by Buddy Labs LLC. This policy explains how the site and its optional services handle information.

What you can use without an account

You can use the public guides, official state routes, calculators, request builders, and lookup tools without creating an account or entering an email address. The official route and Drive Passport remain free.

Our first-party measurement stores daily aggregate counts for page views, tool and official-link clicks, saved-route activity, commercial-module views and starts, coarse traffic channel, and broad route context. These aggregate records do not contain an IP address, cookie ID, advertising ID, or raw user-agent string.

Optional provider flows

NewState Drive may show an optional third-party provider when the provider fits the route. We do not send your contact information to that provider merely because an offer appears. When you choose to start a provider's flow, we may send that named provider a click identifier, the origin and destination states, the relevant vehicle or move category, and information you entered for that provider, such as a destination ZIP code. The provider's privacy policy governs information collected in its own flow.

A provider may return transaction status, attribution, or compensation information tied to the click identifier. We use it to operate the referral, reconcile revenue, prevent abuse, and measure aggregate performance.

Saved routes and email

If you choose to save a route, we store the email address, origin and destination states, ownership category, selected focus, title-holder selection, task and milestone status, dates you add, referring page, coarse traffic channel, consent choices, and access timestamps needed to provide the workspace. The private link uses a random credential. Only a one-way hash of that credential is stored.

We use the email to send the private access link and necessary service messages. Product updates are a separate optional choice that is unchecked by default. You can use the public tools without making that choice.

Treat a private workspace link as confidential. Anyone with the complete link may be able to open that workspace. The standard workspace does not ask for a Social Security number, driver license number, full VIN, policy number, loan account number, payment-card information, or identity document.

Unless you place a proofed-mail or document-fulfillment order, keep receipts, title records, notices, and other documents in your own files or the official provider channel. The standard workspace stores checklist status and dates, not copies of those records.

Direct orders and proof records

When a direct fulfillment service is available and you place an order, we collect the contact, recipient, mailing, route, and order details needed to prepare and track it. Payment-card details are entered with our payment processor and are not stored in the NewState Drive database. We may retain carrier tracking events, acceptance and delivery proof, generated coversheets, refunds, support history, and an order audit trail. Any document upload is limited to the stated order purpose and is stored separately from the public site.

Provider marketplace

Providers that apply for a listing supply business identity, contact, authorization, service-area, service, price, and policy information. We use it to verify, publish, administer, and audit listings. Verification records and private provider access links are not shown publicly.

Cookie-free web analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and search discoverability. It runs without cookies and may report anonymized page-view information such as page, referring site, general country, browser, operating system, and device category. Private workspace pages, internal operations, previews, and automated quality checks are excluded. We do not send custom events or personal data to Vercel Analytics.

Service providers

Hosting, database, object-storage, email, payment, mailing, and measurement providers process the data needed to operate the site and complete requested services. A third-party transaction provider receives information only after you choose to start that named provider's flow. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the site from abuse, fraud, or security threats.

Retention and deletion

Saved workspace records are kept while they are useful for providing return access, unless deletion is requested or a longer period is required for security or legal obligations. Direct order, provider verification, payment, proof, refund, support, and audit records are retained for the period needed to deliver the service and meet tax, dispute, fraud-prevention, and legal obligations. Aggregate measurement does not identify an individual.
