- Register the vehicle within the same 30-day period at a separate vehicle licensing office.
- Tax and fees
- Use-tax treatment can depend on when the vehicle was acquired and tax already paid.
- Inspection or VIN
- No single statewide inspection amount applies to every new-resident vehicle.
- Insurance
- Maintain continuous coverage accepted for the Washington-registered vehicle.
Do not treat a generic estimate as a tax determination. Vehicle value, purchase timing, trade credit, prior tax, county, weight, plate type, and local fees can change the total.
