Current formula

Two times the Georgia Department of Revenue average retail value, with a $5,000 minimum bond.

Apply for the title within six months after the bond is issued.

Required path

  1. MV-1 Title/Tag Application
  2. MV-46 Certificate of Title Bond from a Georgia-licensed surety insurer
  3. Notarized MV-46A Certificate of Title Bond Affidavit
  4. T-22B vehicle inspection
  5. NMVTIS or approved equivalent report
  6. Certified title history and lien release when the report requires them
  7. Available ownership papers and the current state title fee
A lender-held title is not a missing-title bond case. If a lender or lessor holds the title, use the lender handoff or destination registration-only path instead.
