Ask the destination motor vehicle office whether it needs the existing title. If it does, have the office prepare its title request on DMV letterhead.
- 02Use the approved channel
Have the destination office email the letterhead request to titles@skopos.us or fax it to 1-214-614-4166. Call the Skopos Titles Department at the same number to confirm receipt and next steps.
- 03Plan for the handoff
Skopos does not publish a state-transfer turnaround. Send the DMV request before the destination deadline and confirm that the Titles Department received it.

A lender request is only useful if the new state can use it
Some states want an original title. Others accept a copy, lien letter, or registration-only path. Some require the local office to start the request. The builder checks the destination first.
