Start with Volvo Car Financial Services's process

The destination state controls registration and still decides what document it can use and where it must go. The lender handles the title it holds, and the two paths need to meet before the state can finish the transfer.

  1. 01Start here

    Ask the destination motor vehicle office or tag agency what it needs and whether the paperwork differs for a lease. Volvo says to identify any power of attorney or original-title requirement first.

  2. 02Use the approved channel

    Call Volvo Car Financial Services at 1-866-499-6793 if a power of attorney or other information or documentation is needed. If the original title is required, the destination office must send Volvo a written request by mail to Volvo Car Financial Services, PO Box 91300, Mobile, AL 36691-1300, or by fax to 314-702-4499.

  3. 03Plan for the handoff

    Volvo does not publish one nationwide turnaround time on this page. Start before the destination deadline because an original-title request must come from the motor vehicle office.
