Do I have to register my vehicle in Kentucky?

No Kentucky DMV/DRIVE statute or page was found that explicitly states a nonresident servicemember stationed in Kentucky on orders is exempt from titling/registering their vehicle in Kentucky (as opposed to the driver's license exemption, which is explicit). The DRIVE vehicle registration page only confirms that out-of-state insurance is acceptable for active-duty military whose name is on the title, implying some accommodation, but does not state a registration exemption.

Can I keep driving on my current license in Kentucky?

Under KRS 186.430(6), a member of the U.S. Armed Forces stationed in Kentucky who maintains a home of record for military purposes outside of Kentucky may drive on a valid operator's license from their home state/territory and is not required to obtain a Kentucky operator's license.

The following persons may drive in Kentucky on a valid operator's license issued by the person's state or United States territory of domicile and shall not be required to obtain a Kentucky operator's license under this chapter if the person is: (a) A member of the Armed Forces of the United States stationed in Kentucky who maintains a home of record for military purposes outside of Kentucky; (b) The member's spouse; or (c) The member's child or stepchild who is sixteen (16) years of age or older and a dependent or under guardianship of the member.

For the driver's license exemption, KRS 186.430(6)(b) explicitly extends the same out-of-state-license exemption to the servicemember's spouse (and to dependent children 16+ under (c)).
