Renewal grace period while deployed
A Missouri resident's driver's license, permit, or nondriver ID can be renewed early before leaving the state/country so it does not expire while deployed. If it does expire while the person is out of state on military orders, Missouri allows renewal without re-examination for up to six months from honorable discharge, or within ninety days of reestablishing Missouri residency, whichever occurs first (the expired license is not valid for driving in the meantime). Renewal or duplicate requests can also be submitted by mail or email (Form 4317) for members of the armed forces and their dependents holding a valid Missouri license.
