    Transfer the out-of-state license within 30 days after becoming a Nevada resident. Bring the existing credential plus identity, Social Security, and two Nevada-address documents. Register the vehicle within 30 days after establishing residency. Nevada's major offices can process a noncommercial license and registration during the same visit.

    Return the plates to MVC in person or by mail and keep the surrender receipt. MVC says plates must be returned when vehicle insurance is terminated.
