    Update Vermont DMV within 30 days of the move

    After the destination registration is active, notify Vermont DMV of the new mailing and physical address within 30 days. The corrected-registration form can update the address across DMV records. Keep a copy of the submitted form with the new registration.

    Confirm both records are clean

    Verify that the New Mexico registration and insurance are active, the Vermont registration is closed correctly, and no property-tax, toll, inspection, or renewal notice remains open.
