What to do with Utah plates after moving to North Dakota

Utah closeout

Keep Utah coverage supported until its registration record is closed

Do not simply cancel the policy while the Utah registration still appears active. After the destination registration is live, retain that proof and respond promptly to any Utah insurance-verification letter with the vehicle's correct status. Confirm the old registration is canceled before treating the insurance handoff as complete.
