Shipping does not transfer the vehicle record

Do not close the old record merely because the car was picked up

After the destination registration is active, update the address on the Oregon DMV record within 30 days, online or by phone. Oregon does not automatically send a new registration card after an address change, so write the new address on the existing card or request a replacement if you need one. Keep the update confirmation with the new registration.
