Direct Federal does not publish a preparation target. File the lender request before the destination deadline and allow additional time when an electronic title must be printed or a duplicate is needed.

Some states want an original title. Others accept a copy, lien letter, or registration-only path. Some require the local office to start the request. The builder checks the destination first.
