United Auto Credit: move your financed car to another state
Start with the lender's current instructions. Then match them to the new state and build the request before the title moves.
Official lender instructions are linked below. State title rules are added after you choose your route.
Where is the car moving?
We will combine United Auto Credit's move path with the destination state's title rule. No VIN or account number is collected.
Start with United Auto Credit's process
The destination state still decides what document it can use and where it must go.
- 01Start here
Ask the destination motor vehicle office whether it needs the existing title. If it does, the title clerk must send United Auto Credit a request and list United Auto Credit as first lienholder on the new title.
- 02Use the approved channel
Have the title clerk email the request to titles@uacc.net or mail it to United Auto Credit, Title Department, PO Box 163049, Fort Worth, TX 76161. For status, call the Titles Department at (888) 376-7149.
- 03Plan for the handoff
United Auto Credit says to allow at least three weeks for the destination office to receive and process the request. It sends title requests by regular first-class mail.
NewState Drive is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by United Auto Credit. Confirm instructions inside yourlender account before sending sensitive information.
A lender request is only useful if the new state can use it
Some states want an original title. Others accept a copy, lien letter, or registration-only path. Some require the local office to start the request. The builder checks the destination first.
Keep the lender request and receipt together
Add the two states to keep the request, lender send status, destination receipt, and final proof together.
Keep your place and return later
Track your progress, dates, title requests, and receipts to keep. We will email a private return link.
United Auto Credit move questions
- How do I contact United Auto Credit about an out-of-state title transfer?
- Have the title clerk email the request to titles@uacc.net or mail it to United Auto Credit, Title Department, PO Box 163049, Fort Worth, TX 76161. For status, call the Titles Department at (888) 376-7149.
- Will United Auto Credit register the car in the new state?
- The destination motor vehicle agency controls registration. The lender or lessor handles the title or ownership document it holds. The two paths need to meet before the state can finish the transfer.
- Can NewState Drive send the request for me?
- Use the request notes and handoff checklist, then send the request through the lender's approved channel. You remain in control of every lender and agency submission.
- Should I enter my VIN or account number here?
- No. Add sensitive identifiers only inside the lender's own secure account, form, fax, mail, or other approved channel.
