    Convert the out-of-state title through a County Clerk of Courts Title Office using the original title, accepted identification, an out-of-state VIN inspection, and the applicable lienholder or lessor documents.

  3. 3. Complete identification and inspection

    Ohio's E-Check rule permanently exempts a vehicle classified as a recreational vehicle or motor home. A converted van or vehicle recorded under another class should not assume that exemption until the title and registration classification is confirmed.

  4. 4. Register the correct vehicle class

    Register the motorhome through a deputy registrar using the Ohio title or electronic-title receipt and the identity and financial-responsibility records the BMV requires. Keep a towed car, trailer, or fifth wheel on its own title and registration record.
