  1. 1. Check when the application becomes due

    Register within 60 days after becoming a Utah resident. Residency can arise from domicile, six months of physical presence, nonseasonal Utah work, a resident-only privilege, or a Utah driver license; temporary military, qualifying student, and unpaid service exceptions may apply.

  2. 2. Prepare the correct ownership record

    Bring the out-of-state title. If a lienholder keeps it, use your current registration and lienholder information for Utah's registration-only process.

  3. 3. Complete identification and inspection

    A first Utah registration requires a VIN inspection on Form TC-661 unless the motorhome is new and was acquired from an in-state dealer or manufacturer. Complete an emissions inspection only if the motorhome and county are covered by Utah's program.

  4. 4. Register the correct vehicle class

    Register the self-propelled motorhome and maintain Utah-required insurance. Register every towed vehicle or trailer separately.
